Saptdhara
The Saptadhara initiative provides a vibrant cultural and creative platform for students in
higher education, allowing them to experience the bliss of creativity and holistic
development. It was launched by the Department of Education, Government of Gujarat, with
the objective of nurturing talent and promoting all-round development among youth.
Under this programme, the college organizes activities across seven Dharas or streams, each
representing a unique dimension of learning and expression:
- Gyan Dhara (Knowledge Band) – Focuses on intellectual enrichment through essay
writing, quiz competitions, debates, and academic activities. - Sarjanatmak Abhivyakti Dhara (Creative Expression Band) – Encourages students’
imagination through creative writing, poetry, and innovative thought. - Rang, Kala ane Kaushalya Dhara (Fine Arts Band) – Promotes artistic skills such as
painting, drawing, sculpture, and craftwork. - Naatya Dhara (Theatre Band) – Provides opportunities for dramatics, skits, and stage
performances that build confidence and communication. - Geet, Sangeet ane Nrutya Dhara (Music and Dance Band) – Focuses on developing
musical and dance talents through performances and competitions. - Yog, Vyayam ane Khelkud Dhara (Yoga and Sports Band) – Encourages physical
fitness, mindfulness, and participation in sports and yoga. - Samudayik Seva Dhara (Community Service Band) – Involves students in social work
and community-oriented programs.
Through Saptadhara, the college conducts a variety of activities such as essay and elocution
competitions, singing and dance competitions, and cultural performances, ensuring the
overall development of students and fostering a spirit of creativity, discipline, and teamwork.
