NSS
NSS – National Service Scheme
The National Service Scheme (NSS) is an Indian government-sponsored public service
program conducted by the Ministry of Youth Affairs and Sports, Government of India.
Launched in 1969, the Centenary year of Mahatma Gandhi, the NSS aims to develop
students’ personalities through community service and social engagement.
Our college has an active NSS unit comprising enthusiastic student volunteers who
participate in a wide range of outreach and extension programs. These include cleanliness
drives, blood donation camps, tree plantation activities, awareness rallies, health and hygiene
campaigns, and rural development initiatives. Through these activities, students learn the
values of leadership, teamwork, empathy, and social responsibility while contributing
meaningfully to community welfare.
